Lincoln City is looking at concerns like speeding, near misses, and how comfortable people feel walking and biking.
The City will be hosting two nights in October for citizen input. The first night will be Tuesday October 7th from 4-6pm at the Community Center at 2150 NE Oar Pl. This night will be focused solely on Cutler City and the traffic patterns and issues noted in this area. Residents and visitors to this area are highly encouraged to attend to give their input. We will not be addressing other areas of town just yet so please be aware we are looking for input for Cutler City only on this night.
The second night will be Wednesday October 8th from 4-6pm at the Community Center. This night will be focused on Road's End. Residents and visitors again are encouraged to attend and we will be taking comments about the Road's End area only. Refreshments will be provided both evenings. See the flyer below.

Where is the study focused?
This study focuses on the Roads End and Cutler City neighborhoods, where the City has received the most concerns about speeding and traffic safety.
While the study is focused on these areas, the City expects the findings will help guide future traffic safety improvements in neighborhoods across Lincoln City.
What is traffic calming?
Traffic calming includes tools and design strategies that encourage safer driving speeds and improve conditions for people walking, biking, and driving.
These measures can:
Reduce vehicle speeds
Improve visibility and awareness
Enhance neighborhood livability
Support safer travel for all ages and abilities
What types of solutions may be considered?
Possible tools may include:
Speed humps or cushions
Mini traffic circles
Road features that make streets feel narrower
Signs, pavement marking, or lighting improvements
Not every tool fits every street. Solutions will be based on location, data, and community input.
