For consideration, please know Lincoln City has the following websites.
This project will focus on the City Administration website www.lincolncity.org
Goals include:
Moving to a new URL: lincolncityor.gov. The .gov extension aligns with the function of the City.
Receive feedback from City Council, Boards, Committees and Commission as well as citizens regarding the existing website and what they may like in a new website.
Incorporate into the website, the feedback received from the survey wherever possible
Continuing to work on and maintain WCAG 2.2 compliance for accessibility.
Improve the usability and approachability of the website while maintaining branding and security
Evaluate current language and weather widgets and determine if there are better options
Focus on integration of .GOVdelivery into website for better two-way communication with the public
Limitations to the refresh include:
It is not a full overhaul of the website
The base code remains the same, resulting in limitations to how much can be changed. This is due to a focus on security, accessibility and consistency.
Take our quick poll and survey. We want your feedback!
